Third grade
Due Date: 5/15/2020
Subject: Third Grade
Good Morning All,
These are our standards for the week beginning April 15-April 20..  As I used our first week to gauge where most of you would be at the end of each week, I had to adjust your number of steps. Remember, steps are not entire lessons.  A step could be watching a video.  The next step could be working a problem.  You should count the number of steps as you go.  It is always a good idea to have pencil and paper as you work on Acellus.   I have been sending some of you messages in Acellus as you work.  If I notice that you are having a problem, I will try to get to you; however, Acellus kicks me out of the system.  Instead, I have been looking at the messages after we log out and building a helpful portfolio for you on our Google Classroom.  I will be adding to this page regularly, so please accept the invitation. You can find the resources by going on our class drive folder.   This is also where I will put weekly standards.  I gave you all an extra day to complete all assignments in Acellus because of the holiday.  Remember, the work in Acellus in not optional.  I am providing my schedule below.  However, we do understand that many of you are sharing devices, so please adjust it to the needs of your household. Use it as a guide daily.  If you work in Acellus daily, dedicating about 30 minutes in each course, you will not get behind.  As stated in an earlier email, this is the time where I am actively engaged and can provide you with help in real time.
Mrs. Christian has fixed some of the issues with your Gmail accounts. I sent you another invitation to join.  As stated before, please let me know if you are still experiencing problems.  I noticed some of you have accepted my invitation to join.  Students, please check your district Gmail accounts.  This is where I will also send you personal messages. I participated in a Zoom training yesterday.  Since we are having so many issues with Google Classroom,  I will send you an invitation to Zoom!  I cannot wait to see you.  If it suits our needs, we will just use Zoom for our weekly meetings instead of Google Classroom.  We will use Google Classroom for our written discussion forum and also as an area where I will place resources for extra help and other assignments.
