First Grade Student Reading an E-Book

Greenwood Elementary School is proud to be an Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) site. ARI is a statewide K-12 initiative managed by the Department of Education. The goal of ARI is to significantly improve reading instruction and ultimately achieve 100% literacy in our school.  ARI training for teachers helps our faculty to teach reading in proven and effective ways.  The training focuses on the enhancement of classroom instructional strategies to promote students’ phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
