I graduated from Auburn University-Montgomery with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. 

I am currently working on a second Master's degree at the University of West Alabama.

I have taught fourth and fifth grade students in Montgomery, Alabama where I tenured.  I was named 2018 William Silas Garrett Teacher of the Year and Montgomery Public Schools Employee of the Year.

I live in Shelby County with my children and husband. I have four girls. The youngest of the four is in middle school. The oldest of the girls is a nurse and lives on her own. Two of the girls have also chosen to pursue careers in medicine. One wants to be a pediatrician and the other a cosmetic plastic surgeon. The youngest has stated she wants to become a computer programmer. Unfortunately, I have not inspired any of my girls to become educators; however, I do have a niece interested in becoming a secondary education math teacher.

 I enjoy spending quality time with my family, being around positive people, and learning new things. I also love the beach!! I make it a point to go often.
