I have been educating children for a total of 18.5 years.

This is my 15th year educating the children of my hometown, Bessemer, Alabama.

I am the youngest daughter of Mary Christian, who was an educator at Dunbar & Abrams Elementary. I am a proud graduate of this phenomenal school system. I am entering my 16th year as an educator in Bessemer, Alabama. I have taught at the former Davis Middle School, Jonesboro Elementary, and now I'm currently the Media Specialist at Greenwood Elementary. My goal is to encourage each student to read. My desire is to influence students to pick up a book to learn, travel, explore, as well as imagine and dream. I remind them frequently upon entering the media center, "You can be someone new everyday, if you read a different story/tale a day".
